Worship and Praise

Worship: Recognising and exalting God where He is not known or praised is a key part of a Prayer Journey or expedition in the nations.

Personal worship: the desire to grow and develop in worship more and more in daily spiritual disciplines.

Team worship: building a platform of prayer and praise, exalting the Lord in the heart of the team and over the people, city and nation.

Prayer walking praise: here we are embracing the kingdom of God in places He is not yet known. Reading scripture and speaking words that reflect the nature and character of Jesus, King and Lord over the nations. To grow in understanding that worship and the mission of the kingdom are inseparable.

Warfare

Warfare- Intercession for a nation: to engage through scripture and focused intercession the different aspects of the target nation or peoples who are the focus of the Prayer Journey.

Specific Warfare intercession: the majority of the prayer fuel for this specific aspect of the prayer assignment, will come from the material developed by the (SRU) Strategic Prayer Unit in the lead up to the teams departure. It will be added to by the on the ground input and prophetic revelation that comes via the local workers, team leader and other team members as they go about each phase of the Prayer Journey.

Warfare intercession in general: many of the people, towns and cities to be visited have in the main, remained untouched by the gospel because the enemy of God has held them captive in their thinking, their culture and in their way of life, work and worship. (2 Cor4: 4.). One of the ways to open this up, is behind why we conduct Prayer Journeys into closed or restricted access nations (RAN) not open to the gospel of Jesus.

Instead of head on clashes with the demonic forces often operating over and in such nations, we, through going on site to pray with insight, seek to create a different posture by asking God to contend with the evil and oppressive structures exerting power and influence over peoples life, work and worship; to expose all darkness by His incredible light and to bring all things into submission to His will and purpose.

Welcoming the Prince of Peace and the presence of the Holy Spirit

A key passage of scripture is, Luke 10: 1-9.
Act in anticipation of Christ’s Kingdom being revealed amongst the hidden peoples and un-reached towns, cities and nations where Prayer Journeys are conducted.  In every home and place visited, welcome the Prince of Peace to come and to open the eyes and the minds of people, just like the 72 disciples did when Jesus sent them out. Seek to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit, His healing and restoring work. Ask Him to give the people a taste of their true inheritance as worshiping sons and daughters of the one true God.
